The MAX4567CSE+ is a dual SPDT (2:1 multiplexer/demultiplexer) video switch from Analog Devices in a 16-SOIC package. It targets video routing applications where signal integrity at high frequencies matters — the 350 MHz -3dB bandwidth keeps the video signal clean through the switch matrix. Each channel presents a maximum 60 Ω on-resistance, which is low enough to drive a standard 75 Ω video load with minimal attenuation when the switch is in the signal path. The break-before-make switching action prevents momentary shorting of two video sources during channel change — a requirement for clean glitch-free switching in analog video multiplexers.
Supply rails and board integration
The part runs from a single supply of 2.7 V to 12 V, or from dual supplies of ±2.7 V to ±6 V. This dual-supply capability lets it handle bipolar video signals without AC-coupling capacitors — the switch passes the full signal swing from negative to positive rail, simplifying the board layout for composite or component video paths.
