Single SPDT switch in a compact SOT-23-6
The MAX4561EUT+T is a single-pole double-throw (SPDT) analog switch from Analog Devices, configured as a 2:1 multiplexer/demultiplexer. It routes one common terminal to either of two independent I/O pins, making it a direct fit for signal routing, audio path selection, or analog muxing in space-constrained designs. Housed in a 6-lead SOT-23 package (SOT-6 supplier device package), it occupies minimal board area and supports surface-mount assembly.
Key switching parametrics for signal integrity
On-resistance is 70 Ohm maximum, with channel-to-channel matching guaranteed to 500 mOhm — the delta between the two switch paths stays tight, which matters when the switch is used in a gain-setting or feedback network where resistance mismatch shifts the transfer function. Switching speed is 150 ns turn-on and 80 ns turn-off maximum, fast enough for audio muting, analog front-end channel scanning, or low-frequency multiplexing. Charge injection is 17 pC typical — the charge dumped onto the signal line during switching is low enough to avoid audible clicks in audio paths or settling errors in sample-and-hold stages. Off-channel leakage is 500 pA maximum, and off-capacitance is 20 pF on both source and drain sides. The combination keeps signal attenuation and crosstalk low in high-impedance sensor or precision analog circuits.
