Single SPST switch, 20 ohm — what it handles
The Maxim MAX4514CSA+ is a single-pole single-throw normally-open analog switch in an 8-SOIC package. It passes analog or digital signals up to the supply rail with a maximum on-resistance of 20 ohms. The 150 ns turn-on and 100 ns turn-off times suit audio muxing, sample-and-hold front-ends, and general-purpose signal routing where the 0°C to 70°C commercial temperature range fits the environment.
Supply and signal range
Runs from a single 2V to 12V supply. The SPST-NO topology means the switch is open when the control pin is low; pull it high to close the channel. Charge injection is 2 pC.
Leakage and capacitance
Off-state leakage is 1 nA max, and channel capacitance is 14 pF on both source and drain. That combination keeps signal integrity clean for sub-100 kHz analog paths and for digital muxing up to a few MHz.
Package and mounting
Housed in an 8-SOIC (3.90 mm width) with surface-mount termination. The 8-SOIC footprint is standard; no surprises for the pick-and-place line.
