Quad SPST-NO analog switch for signal routing
The Maxim Integrated MAX4512CSE+ is a quad single-pole single-throw normally-open (SPST-NO) analog switch in a 16-SOIC package. It routes four independent analog or digital signals with a 1:1 multiplexer/demultiplexer topology, controlled by a logic-level input per channel. The switch handles both single-supply rails from 9V to 36V and dual supplies from ±4.5V to ±18V, suiting it for ATE, data acquisition, audio routing, and industrial control panels where multiple signal paths need clean isolation. Key specs include a maximum on-resistance of 160 ohms, switching times of 500 ns (turn-on) and 400 ns (turn-off), and crosstalk of -66 dB at 1 MHz. Off-channel leakage stays under 500 pA, and channel capacitance is 10 pF (source off) and 5 pF (drain off). The 0°C to 70°C commercial temperature range fits benchtop instrumentation, lab equipment, and indoor automation racks.
Supply voltage range and logic compatibility
The MAX4512CSE+ accepts a single supply from 9V to 36V or a dual supply from ±4.5V to ±18V. The 9V minimum on the single supply means it won't run from a 5V rail directly — plan for a 12V or 24V supply in the system. Logic inputs are TTL/CMOS compatible over the full supply range, so a 5V microcontroller can drive the control pins as long as the switch supply is at least 9V.
Active lifecycle, ROHS3 compliant
The MAX4512CSE+ carries an Active product status and is ROHS3 compliant. No end-of-life notice or last-time-buy window has been issued.
