Four SPST-NC analog switches in 16-SOIC — supply flexibility and low parasitics
The MAX4511CSE+ from Analog Devices (formerly Maxim Integrated) is a quad SPST-NC analog switch in a 16-SOIC package. Each of the four normally-closed switches handles analog or digital signals with a maximum on-resistance of 160Ω and leakage of just 500pA, making it suited for precision signal routing, sample-and-hold circuits, and audio path switching where channel bleed must be minimal. Supply flexibility is a standout: it runs from a single 9V to 36V rail or dual ±4.5V to ±18V supplies, covering industrial ±15V and +12V/+24V systems without a separate regulator. The 500ns turn-on and 400ns turn-off times are adequate for relay replacement and instrumentation multiplexing, though not for video-rate switching. Crosstalk is rated at -66dB at 1MHz, and charge injection is a low 1.5pC — both important when switching small analog signals in multi-channel data acquisition or audio crosspoint applications.
Commercial temperature grade — indoor use only
Rated 0°C to 70°C ambient, this part is specified for commercial/indoor environments: bench instruments, office equipment, telecom racks, and consumer audio. Not qualified for automotive or extended industrial temperature ranges.
