Package and rework reality
The MAX4494AUA+T comes in an 8-uMAX/uSOP package (8-TSSOP, 8-MSOP footprint), 0.118-inch body width. The 0.65 mm pitch is forgiving for hand solder; just don't dwell on any one pin past 3 seconds or the mold compound can craze. Supplied on Tape & Reel (TR) or Cut Tape (CT) — the reel option suits pick-and-place for production runs; cut tape works for bench prototypes.
Signal chain fit: slew rate and bandwidth
Supply span from 4.5 V to 11 V covers common 5 V and 9 V rails — no need for a separate regulator if the board already has a 5 V bus.
Temperature grade and industrial deployment
The 125°C upper limit gives margin above the typical 85°C ambient in a sealed panel.
Power and drive for dual-channel layouts
Two op-amps in one package drawing 770 µA per channel — total 1.54 mA quiescent for both amplifiers. That's low enough to run from a 24 VDC loop-powered sensor supply without exceeding the loop budget. Input offset voltage is 300 µV — acceptable for general-purpose signal conditioning but not for microvolt-level precision.
