Single-channel instrumentation amp for precision sensor interfaces
The Analog Devices MAX4462HETT+T is a single-circuit instrumentation amplifier in a 6-TDFN exposed-pad package (3x3 mm footprint). Supply span runs from 2.85 V to 5.25 V, drawing 800 µA quiescent current, with an input bias current of 1 pA and input offset voltage of 100 µV.
The 2.85 V minimum supply lets this part run from a 3.0 V or 3.3 V rail without a boost converter, while the 5.25 V maximum covers legacy 5 V systems. Each channel can source or sink 150 mA — enough to drive an ADC input directly or a moderate cable capacitance. The rail-to-rail output swing preserves dynamic range at low supply voltages, which matters when the signal chain runs from a single 3.3 V rail.
Package and layout notes
The small footprint saves board area but demands careful solder-paste stencil design to avoid bridging the fine-pitch leads. Surface-mount assembly only; no through-hole variant exists.
Lifecycle and compliance
RoHS3 compliant per.
