What this gate driver does on your board
The MAX4426CSA+: Each of the two independent channels delivers 1.5 A peak source and sink current, with a typical rise and fall time of 20 ns — fast enough to switch the gate capacitance of a medium-power MOSFET without excessive switching loss. The inverting input logic means the output goes high when the input is pulled low, so the input pin sees the complementary signal — check your PWM polarity before layout.
Package and temperature fit for production
Supplied in a tube, the part is MSL-rated per the standard SOIC profile — bake it only if the floor life has been exceeded, otherwise it survives a standard lead-free reflow peak around 260°C without popcorning.
