Active general-purpose op-amp for signal conditioning
The MAX4400AXK+T: With an 800 kHz gain-bandwidth product and a 1 V/µs slew rate, this op-amp handles audio-band signals and slow sensor outputs without significant phase lag.
Input characteristics and DC accuracy
Input bias current is just 0.1 pA typical, which means negligible voltage drop across high-impedance sources like photodiode or pH probe front-ends. The 800 µV maximum input offset voltage sets the DC error floor; for a gain of 100, the output offset contribution is 80 mV before any external trimming. The operating temperature range spans -40°C to 125°C, covering the full industrial and automotive cabin envelope. Supply current is 410 µA typical, a reasonable quiescent draw for battery-powered or loop-powered signal chains where every microamp is budgeted.
Package and procurement options
The MAX4400AXK+T is supplied in Tape & Reel (TR) or Cut Tape (CT) formats, both surface-mount compatible. The SC-70-5 footprint (also known as SOT-353) is a standard 5-lead package with 0.65 mm pitch, suitable for automated pick-and-place assembly.
