Current-sense amplifier with on-chip comparator and reference
The MAX4373TESA+ integrates a precision current-sense amplifier, a comparator, and a 1.2V reference in a single 8-SOIC package — a three-in-one block for overcurrent detection and threshold monitoring in power-management loops. The amplifier monitors the voltage drop across a shunt resistor in the supply rail; the comparator trips when the sensed voltage exceeds the internal reference threshold, eliminating the need for an external comparator and reference IC.
8-SOIC package and board layout fit
The tube packaging suits low-to-medium volume assembly; for reel quantities, confirm the tape-and-reel variant if the pick-and-place line is set up for 8 mm carrier tape.
Active lifecycle and RoHS compliance
ROHS3 compliant, which covers the full ten restricted substance categories under EU 2015/863 — no exemption declarations needed for the BOM's RoHS statement.
