Multiplexed signal path with 430 V/µs slew rate
The MAX4311ESD+T integrates a 4:1 multiplexer with a rail-to-rail output amplifier in a single 14-SOIC package. The 430 V/µs slew rate means the amplifier can track a full-scale step input from one multiplexed channel to the next without slew-induced distortion — critical for video switching or high-speed data acquisition where the signal edge must settle within the pixel or sample period.
345 MHz bandwidth and 95 mA output drive
The -3 dB bandwidth of 345 MHz sets the usable signal passband for each multiplexed channel. At this bandwidth, the amplifier supports standard-definition and high-definition video formats up to 1080p without rolling off the luminance or chrominance edges. Each output channel delivers 95 mA of drive current, enough to directly terminate a 75 Ω video line or drive the input of a subsequent ADC without an external buffer. The 6.9 mA supply current per amplifier keeps the total power dissipation manageable in multi-channel arrays. The supply range spans 4 V to 10.5 V single supply, or ±2 V to ±5.25 V dual supplies, so the part fits into systems with a single 5 V rail or split ±5 V analog supplies without a separate regulator.
