Micropower op-amp for always-on sense circuits
The Analog Devices MAX4289EUT+T is a single general-purpose operational amplifier in a SOT-23-6 package, designed for applications where supply current is the primary constraint. Its 18 µA quiescent current and rail-to-rail output make it a natural fit for battery-powered sensor conditioning, portable instrumentation, and always-on monitoring circuits where every microamp counts. The 17 kHz gain-bandwidth product and 0.006 V/µs slew rate confirm this is a low-frequency part — think DC-level shifting, thermocouple or resistive-bridge amplification, and slow-moving analog signals. It is not intended for audio, motor-control feedback loops, or any path requiring fast transient response. Supply span from 1 V to 5.5 V covers single-cell Li-ion through 5 V rails. Input bias current is 5 nA, and input offset voltage is 200 µV.
Package and ordering code
The MAX4289EUT+T is the tape-and-reel (TR) and cut-tape (CT) ordering variant of the base MAX4289EUT. Both share the same SOT-23-6 footprint and SOT-6 supplier device package. Surface-mount only — no through-hole option exists. The +T suffix selects the reeled quantity; the base die and performance are identical across the suffix options.
Temperature grade and environment
Rated for the industrial temperature range of -40°C to 85°C, the MAX4289EUT+T suits outdoor telecom enclosures, factory-floor sensor nodes, and automotive cabin-zone electronics where under-hood extremes are not encountered. The SOT-23-6 package allows dense PCB layouts, but thermal coupling between adjacent channels is a consideration in multi-amp designs — this is a single-circuit device, so that concern is isolated to board-level heat sources.
Lifecycle and compliance
The MAX4289EUT+T carries an Active product status with ROHS3 compliance. The ROHS3 declaration covers the full device, including the SOT-23-6 lead finish.
