Package and mounting
The MAX4108ESA+ is a single-supply general-purpose op-amp from Maxim, built for signal paths that need a 400 MHz -3dB bandwidth and a 1200 V/µs slew rate without the supply flexibility of a wide-range part. The 12 V supply span (min and max both 12 V) means it runs from a single 12 V rail or a ±6 V split supply — no headroom for 5 V or 3.3 V operation. The 20 mA supply current and 100 mA output per channel are consistent with a high-speed current-feedback topology, not a micropower part. Input offset voltage is 1 mV, input bias current 12 µA, so DC accuracy is adequate for video or IF gain stages but not precision instrumentation.
Supply rails — fixed at 12 V, no flexibility
The voltage supply span is listed as 12 V for both the minimum and maximum, which is unusual. That means the part is designed for a single 12 V supply or a ±6 V split supply, and it will not operate from a lower rail like 5 V or 3.3 V.
