Current sense amplifier — 4.5 V to 76 V supply span
The MAX4080TASA+T is a single-channel current sense amplifier from Analog Devices, designed to measure load current across a shunt resistor on the high side. Its 4.5 V to 76 V supply span covers common industrial bus voltages from 5 V logic rails up to 48 V telecom and 60 V motor-drive supplies without needing an external regulator. The 75 µA quiescent current keeps self-heating low in tight enclosures and suits always-on monitoring in battery-backed systems. The 250 kHz bandwidth supports fast overcurrent detection and current-loop response in switching power supplies and motor drives.
