Quad SPST analog switch in a through-hole DIP
The MAX4066ACPD+ is a quad single-pole single-throw (SPST) normally-open analog switch from Analog Devices, packaged in a 14-lead DIP for through-hole assembly. Each of the four independent switches handles rail-to-rail analog signals with a 45 Ohm maximum on-resistance and channel-to-channel matching within 500 mOhm.
Bandwidth, crosstalk, and switching speed
With a -3 dB bandwidth of 100 MHz and crosstalk of -86 dB at 1 MHz, the switch passes high-frequency analog signals cleanly while keeping channel bleed well below the noise floor of most audio or instrumentation chains. Turn-on time is 100 ns max, turn-off is 75 ns max, so the part can handle multiplexing rates into the low megahertz range.
Supply range and signal integrity
Charge injection is just 1 pC typical, and off-channel leakage is 100 pA max, so the switch introduces minimal glitch or droop into sampled analog signals. Channel capacitance is 9 pF per side, consistent with the 100 MHz bandwidth target.
