Three SPDT switches with -90 dB crosstalk isolation
The MAX4053ACEE+T packs three independent SPDT (single-pole double-throw) switch circuits into a 16-QSOP package, each channel rated for a maximum on-resistance of 100 Ohm. Crosstalk between channels is specified at -90 dB at 100 kHz, meaning signal bleed from one path into another stays well below the noise floor in precision analog multiplexing applications. Charge injection is a low 2 pC, so the switch does not dump a significant voltage glitch onto a sampling capacitor when it toggles — useful for sample-and-hold or ADC front-end routing.
Supply flexibility and switching speed
Operates from a single supply rail between 2 V and 16 V, or from dual supplies spanning ±2.7 V to ±8 V, giving the designer the choice to run it off a single 5 V logic rail or a ±5 V analog supply. Maximum turn-on time is 175 ns; turn-off time is 150 ns, fast enough for audio-frequency multiplexing and moderate-speed data acquisition without introducing timing skew between channels. Channel-to-channel on-resistance matching is held to 6 Ohm maximum, so the gain error across multiplexed inputs stays consistent — important when the switch is in the feedback path of a programmable-gain amplifier.
Commercial temperature grade and small-footprint package
Housed in a 16-pin SSOP (0.154-inch body width, 3.90 mm wide) and also offered in the 16-QSOP supplier device package — both surface-mount footprints that fit tight PCB layouts without needing a fine-pitch assembly process.
Fully ROHS3 compliant, meeting the latest European restriction-of-hazardous-substances directive for lead-free soldering processes.
