Supply rails and what they mean for the signal path
Runs from a single 2.7 V to 15 V supply, or dual ±2.7 V to ±8 V rails. The dual-supply option lets the switch handle bipolar signals down to the negative rail without level-shifting — useful when the upstream signal swings below ground, like a ±5 V audio line or a bipolar sensor output. Single-supply operation simplifies the power tree if your signal stays positive.
Switching speed, charge injection, and crosstalk
Turn-on time is 130 ns max, turn-off 75 ns max — fast enough for sample-and-hold front ends or multiplexed data acquisition at moderate rates. Charge injection is 5 pC typical, which matters when the switch connects to a high-impedance node: that 5 pC dumps into the sampling capacitor and shows up as a voltage step. Off-leakage is 200 pA max, and channel capacitance is 12 pF on both sides, so the RC settling time stays predictable. Crosstalk is -88 dB at 1 MHz — the four channels can carry independent signals without bleeding into each other at audio or low-frequency instrumentation bandwidths.
Temperature grade and package reality
That covers most benchtop instrumentation, audio gear, and indoor industrial control boards, but not automotive or outdoor enclosures. The 20-SOIC wide-body footprint is standard; the 0.295-inch width means it fits the same land pattern as other SOIC-20W parts.
