Quad SPST-NO switch with 85 Ohm on-resistance
The MAX365CSE+: Each of the four independent switches presents a maximum 85 Ohm on-resistance, with channel-to-channel matching held to 2 Ohm max — tight enough that gain errors in a multiplexed signal path stay consistent across channels. It operates from either a single 10 V to 30 V supply or dual ±4.5 V to ±20 V rails, making it usable in systems where the analog signal swing exceeds the typical 5 V or ±15 V range.
Switching speed and signal integrity
Turn-on time is 250 ns max, turn-off 120 ns max — fast enough for audio routing, sample-and-hold front ends, and low-speed data acquisition muxing where the throughput stays below a few hundred kilohertz. The 5 pC charge injection means the switch dumps a small charge packet onto the load when it opens; in a high-impedance node this appears as a glitch, so a sample-and-hold capacitor downstream should be sized to absorb it without shifting the held voltage beyond the ADC's LSB. Crosstalk between channels is -100 dB at 1 MHz — a figure that tells you the off-channel isolation is good enough that a 1 Vpp signal on one channel leaks less than 10 µV into an adjacent channel at that frequency. The off-leakage current is 500 pA max, and each channel presents 4 pF of capacitance to the source and load when off, so the switch does not load the signal path significantly in the audio or low-MHz range.
The 1.27 mm pitch SOIC footprint is straightforward for two-layer boards; the supply pins accept the wide single or dual rail range, so the same PCB layout can serve a +12 V single-supply design or a ±15 V bipolar system by changing the power input, not the board.
