Active production SPST-NC quad switch
The MAX351ESE+ is an active-production quad SPST-NC analog switch from Analog Devices, packaged in a 16-SOIC. It switches signals with a maximum on-resistance of 35Ω and channel-to-channel matching within 2Ω. Switching times are 175 ns turn-on and 145 ns turn-off, with charge injection limited to 5 pC — low enough to avoid glitching downstream sample-and-hold stages in precision signal chains.
Crosstalk and isolation at 1 MHz
Crosstalk is -85 dB at 1 MHz, meaning a signal on one channel couples at roughly -85 dB into an off channel at that frequency. This matters when multiplexing multiple analog inputs into a single ADC — the off-channel leakage stays below the converter's noise floor for 12- to 14-bit systems. Off-channel leakage current is 250 pA maximum, and each channel presents 9 pF of capacitance to the source when off. The combination sets the settling time at the ADC input for a given source impedance.
