The MAX3441EEPA+ is a single-channel half-duplex transceiver supporting both RS-422 and RS-485 protocols at data rates up to 10 Mbps — fast enough for Profibus or similar fieldbus links running at 12 Mbaud with margin.

Housed in an 8-pin PDIP (0.300" wide, 7.62 mm body), the MAX3441EEPA+ uses a through-hole mounting style that suits breadboard prototyping, socketed production boards, or retrofitting into existing DIP-8 footprints without a board respin. The 25 mV typical receiver hysteresis provides noise immunity on long twisted-pair cable runs — the hysteresis band sits above the common-mode noise floor of a typical industrial RS-485 bus, reducing bit errors without external filtering.
