Dual SP4T switch for precision signal routing
The Maxim MAX339ESE+ is a dual 4:1 analog multiplexer/demultiplexer (two SP4T switches) in a 16-SOIC package. Each switch has a maximum on-resistance of 400 ohms and channel-to-channel matching within 4 ohms. The single-supply range is 4.5 V to 30 V, or dual supplies from ±4.5 V to ±20 V.
Crosstalk and charge injection — what they mean for your signal chain
At 100 kHz the crosstalk is -92 dB. Charge injection is 1.5 pC typical. Off-leakage is a maximum 20 pA. Off-channel capacitance is 3 pF on the source side and 6 pF on the drain side.
Industrial temperature grade and package
Rated for -40°C to +85°C ambient, this part is suited for factory-floor PLCs, outdoor telecom base stations, and engine-bay data loggers where the enclosure sees temperature swings. The 16-SOIC (3.90 mm width) body is a common footprint, and the tube shipping medium is typical for prototype and low-volume builds — rework techs will appreciate not having to deal with loose tape for a few units. The part is ROHS3 compliant, no exemption issues for EU-bound products.
Lifecycle and sourcing posture
The MAX339ESE+ is an active part, ROHS3 compliant.
