Dual 8:1 multiplexer for precision analog routing
The MAX337CAI+ is a dual 8:1 multiplexer from Analog Devices, routing two independent 8-channel analog or digital signals to a common output per section. The 400 Ohm max on-state resistance sets the series impedance for the signal path; with 5 Ohm channel-to-channel matching, the gain error across channels stays tight without external calibration. Crosstalk is rated at -86 dB at 100 kHz, which keeps the bleed from one channel into another well below the noise floor of a 16-bit ADC front-end. Charge injection is 3.5 pC typical, so the voltage glitch on a 10 pF sampling capacitor is under 350 mV — manageable with a short acquisition window. Supply voltage covers single 4.5 V to 20 V or dual ±4.5 V to ±20 V, making it usable with common ±15 V analog rails or a single 12 V/15 V supply. The 500 ns max switching time (both ton and toff) supports multiplexing rates up to about 1 MHz, adequate for most data-acquisition and ATE applications.
