Product details

Dual SPST switch for precision analog signal routing

The MAX322CUA+ integrates two independent SPST switches with both normally-open and normally-closed configurations per channel, giving you per-circuit polarity flexibility without external inverters. On-resistance is 35 Ohm maximum, with channel-to-channel matching held to 300 mOhm — the mismatch between the two paths stays under a third of an ohm, which matters when the switch is in a gain-setting or divider network where R-on imbalance shifts the ratio. Charge injection is rated 2 pC typical — at that level the injected charge into a 10 pF hold capacitor produces a 200 mV glitch, so for sample-and-hold or DAC output multiplexing you budget the settling time after the switch toggles.

Switching speed and signal integrity in the audio band

Maximum turn-on time is 150 ns, turn-off 100 ns — the 50 ns asymmetry means the break-before-make gap is built into the part, not something you add externally. Crosstalk is -85 dB at 1 MHz — that is the feedthrough from one channel to the other at a 1 MHz carrier. For audio-frequency multiplexing below 20 kHz the isolation is even better, but at video rates the -85 dB floor sets the limit for adjacent-channel bleed. Channel capacitance is 9 pF per side (CS(off) and CD(off) both 9 pF) — this capacitance loads the source when the switch is off and contributes to the RC roll-off when on. With a 35 Ohm R-on and 9 pF load the -3 dB bandwidth is roughly 500 MHz, well above the audio and low-frequency instrumentation band.

Supply rails and leakage in the 0-70°C band

Operates from dual supplies ±2.7 V to ±8 V — the positive and negative rails track each other; the part does not have a separate logic supply, so the control logic thresholds scale with V+. Maximum off-leakage is 100 pA at 25°C — this doubles roughly every 10°C, so at 70°C the leakage is around 1.6 nA per channel. In a high-impedance multiplexer feeding a 1 GOhm input buffer, that leakage creates a 1.6 mV offset at the hot end. Temperature range is 0°C to 70°C ambient — commercial grade only. If the board sees -20°C or 85°C ambient, the MAX322CUA+ is outside its rated operating band and the leakage and timing specs are not guaranteed.

Package, footprint, and supply posture

Supplied in tube packaging — not tape-and-reel. If your pick-and-place line is set up for reels, factor in the tube-to-reel transfer or order the tape-and-reel variant if one exists in the family. The part is ROHS3 compliant.

Frequently asked questions

What is the closest pin-compatible alternative to MAX322CUA+?

No official pin-compatible successor or second-source is listed in the manufacturer records. The MAX322CUA+ is a unique order code within the Analog Devices switch portfolio; any functional equivalent would require comparing the full parametric set (supply range, on-resistance, charge injection, package) against another part number.
