The MAX31856MUD+T is a thermocouple-to-digital converter from Analog Devices, part of their Analog & Data Acquisition portfolio. It converts thermocouple input directly to a digital output, eliminating the need for an external analog front-end or cold-junction compensation circuit.
The 0.65 mm pin pitch on the TSSOP-14 footprint is standard — two-layer boards break out the pins cleanly with 0.3 mm traces. The supplier device package is identical to the orderable package case, so the PCB footprint and stencil aperture transfer directly from the datasheet land pattern. Supply current is 1.2 mA typical — the thermal dissipation in the TSSOP body is negligible even at 125°C ambient. No exposed thermal pad to route; the standard TSSOP-14 copper area under the part is sufficient.
