Multi-protocol transceiver for mixed-signal backplanes
The MAX3160CAP+T is a full-duplex transceiver supporting RS232, RS422, and RS485 protocols on a single IC, with two drivers and two receivers integrated in a 20-SSOP package. The 10Mbps data rate covers the full RS485 fast-mode range and RS422 point-to-point links; the 500 mV receiver hysteresis provides noise margin in electrically noisy factory-floor environments.
Housed in a 20-SSOP (0.209-inch body width, 5.30mm height), surface-mount package — the 0.65mm pitch requires a standard PCB footprint with no thermal pad.
