The MAX314LEUE+ is a quad SPST analog switch from Analog Devices, with independently controlled normally-open and normally-closed channels per switch (SPST - NO/NC configuration). Each of the four switches presents a maximum on-resistance of 10 Ω, with channel-to-channel matching held to 300 mΩ — tight enough that gain errors in a multiplexed signal chain stay consistent across channels. Switching is fast: 225 ns max turn-on, 185 ns max turn-off, which keeps the switch transparent in audio-path muting or sample-and-hold front-ends running at moderate rates.
Supply flexibility and signal integrity
This range lets the switch handle ±15 V audio rails or a single 12 V industrial supply without a second regulator. Crosstalk is rated at -85 dB at 1 MHz — low enough that a 4-channel multiplexer scanning transducer signals at audio frequencies does not couple significant bleed between adjacent channels. Charge injection is 20 pC typical; off-leakage is 500 pA max, and channel capacitance is 15 pF per side. These numbers matter for precision sample-and-hold circuits where injected charge or droop on the hold capacitor directly sets the acquisition error.
