Quad SPST switch with 10 Ohm on-resistance
The MAX314ESE+T from Analog Devices is a quad SPST analog switch with independent normally-open and normally-closed poles per channel. On-resistance maxes at 10 Ohm, channel-to-channel matching holds to 300 mOhm, and charge injection sits at 20 pC — clean enough for precision analog multiplexing, data acquisition front-ends, or audio routing. Supply flexibility covers single 4.5 V to 30 V or dual ±4.5 V to ±20 V rails, so it fits both single-supply industrial ADC inputs and bipolar signal chains. Switching times (225 ns on, 185 ns off) keep up with moderate-speed sampled systems. The 16-SOIC package is a common footprint; the T suffix means Tape & Reel for automated assembly.
Crosstalk and leakage — what they mean for your signal chain
Crosstalk is -85 dB at 1 MHz. Off-leakage current is 500 pA max, and channel capacitance is 15 pF per side.
Temperature grade and environment
Rated for -40°C to 85°C ambient, the MAX314ESE+T covers industrial control cabinets, outdoor telecom enclosures, and engine-bay-adjacent electronics without needing a commercial-grade workaround. The 16-SOIC body is 3.90 mm wide — standard SOIC-16 footprint, no surprises for layout. Surface-mount only; no through-hole variant in this suffix.
