Quad SPST switch with 10 Ohm on-resistance
The MAX313CUE+ is a quad single-pole single-throw (SPST) analog switch from Analog Devices, normally open (NO) configuration per the SPST - NO switch circuit. Each of the four independent switches conducts signals with a maximum on-resistance of 10 Ohm, and the channel-to-channel matching is held to 300 mOhm, which keeps gain errors consistent across all four paths in a multiplexed signal chain.
Switching speed and charge injection for precision
Turn-on time is 225 ns maximum and turn-off is 185 ns maximum, so the switch can support sample rates up to roughly 2 MHz in a typical track-and-hold stage before the switching transient eats into the settling window. Charge injection is specified at 20 pC, which determines the voltage glitch coupled onto the signal path when the switch opens or closes. In a 10 pF hold capacitor, that charge translates to a 2 mV step — acceptable for 12-bit systems but worth derating for 16-bit or higher precision. Crosstalk between channels is -85 dB at 1 MHz, a figure that matters when adjacent channels carry different signal amplitudes and any leakage would corrupt the active path. Off-leakage current is 500 pA maximum, which keeps the DC error under 5 µV into a 10 kOhm load.
16-TSSOP package and supply flexibility
Housed in a 16-lead TSSOP (4.40 mm width, 0.173" pitch), the device is a surface-mount switch that fits standard analog signal-chain layouts where board space is constrained. The supplier device package is 16-TSSOP, and it ships in tube packaging. The dual-supply range accommodates common analog rails like ±5 V, ±12 V, or ±15 V without needing an external regulator.
