Precision quad SPST-NC switch
The MAX312LCUE+ is a quad single-pole single-throw normally-closed analog switch from Analog Devices, packaged in a 16-TSSOP (0.173", 4.40 mm width) surface-mount tube. Each of the four independent switches is SPST-NC with a 1:1 multiplexer/demultiplexer topology, meaning the switch conducts when the control signal is low and opens when high.
On-resistance and matching
Maximum on-resistance is 10 Ohm, with channel-to-channel matching (ΔRon) of 300 mOhm. This tight matching matters in precision analog signal routing — for a gain-setting resistor network or a multiplexed sensor front-end, the 300 mOhm spread keeps the offset error below 0.3% of the signal swing when the load is high-impedance. The charge injection is 20 pC typical — a 20 pC spike into a 100 pF hold capacitor produces a 200 mV glitch, so the part is better suited for AC-coupled or DC-accurate paths where the glitch settles within the acquisition window.
Supply flexibility and signal integrity
This lets the switch handle bipolar signals up to ±20 V without external level shifting — useful for op-amp output routing, ATE pin electronics, or industrial sensor multiplexing where the signal swings below ground. Crosstalk is -85 dB at 1 MHz, which keeps a 1 Vpp signal on an adjacent channel from coupling more than about 56 µV into the active channel at that frequency. Off-leakage current is 500 pA maximum, and channel capacitance (CS(off), CD(off)) is 15 pF each — the leakage is low enough for high-impedance sources (10 MOhm sensor) to settle within 0.01% in under 1 ms, while the capacitance limits the -3 dB bandwidth to roughly 1 MHz into a 10 kOhm load.
