What is this part and what does it do on the board?
The MAX312ESE+: It switches four independent signal paths, each with a maximum on-resistance of 10 Ohms and channel-to-channel matching within 300 mOhm.
Analog performance and switching characteristics
Crosstalk between channels is rated at -85 dB at 1 MHz, which means signals on adjacent switch paths stay well isolated at audio and low-RF frequencies — useful for multiplexing precision analog signals without bleed-through. Charge injection is 20 pC typical, and the switch toggles in 225 ns on, 185 ns off. Off-channel leakage is a maximum of 500 pA, and each channel presents 15 pF of capacitance to the source and load when off.
Package, mounting, and handling on site
The surface-mount body and gull-wing leads are clearly oriented; pin 1 is marked on the package top. Supplied in a Tube, which keeps the parts aligned and ESD-safe during transport. No moisture sensitivity label required for typical shop-floor storage.
