SPI-to-UART bridge with RS232/RS485 protocol support
The MAX3100ETG+ is an SPI/MICROWIRE-to-UART controller from Analog Devices, handling RS232 and RS485 protocol conversion on the serial side. The SPI interface on the host side keeps the pin count low — four wires plus an interrupt line — which suits microcontrollers with limited GPIO or a shared SPI bus. Quiescent current is 150 µA typical — low enough for battery-powered or always-on COM ports where every microamp matters.
The tube packaging is standard for prototype and low-volume builds; for reel quantities check the alternate order code.
