Quad RS-485/RS-422 receiver for 3.3V industrial buses
The Maxim Integrated MAX3096EEE+ is a quad RS-422/RS-485 line receiver in a compact 16-pin SSOP (0.154" wide, 3.90 mm body) or equivalent QSOP footprint. It converts differential bus signals to single-ended CMOS logic levels at up to 10 Mbps, with 45 mV of built-in hysteresis to reject noise on long cable runs. The part operates from a 3V to 3.6V supply and is specified over the full industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, making it a direct fit for factory automation, motor drive feedback links, and outdoor telecom backplanes.

Rated for 3V to 3.6V, the receiver runs directly from a 3.3V supply without a separate regulator. The industrial temperature range (-40°C to +85°C) covers cold-start in outdoor cabinets and self-heating in sealed enclosures. If the design must survive under-hood automotive or extended high-temp industrial zones, a wider-range or AEC-Q100 qualified part would be needed.
