Quad RS422/RS485 receiver for 5V-tolerant buses
The MAX3096CSE+ is a quad RS422/RS485 receiver from Analog Devices — four independent receivers in one 16-SOIC package, no drivers on chip. It handles differential bus signals up to 10 Mbps with 45 mV of hysteresis to reject line noise. The supply rail is tight at 3V to 3.6V, so the board's 3.3V rail must be clean; a 5V-tolerant input stage lets it sit on a mixed-voltage backplane without level shifters.
