What the 10Mbps data rate means for your bus
The MAX3095CSE+T is a quad RS-422/RS-485 receiver from Analog Devices, designed to convert differential bus signals to single-ended logic levels on the controller side of the isolation barrier. Rated at 10Mbps, this receiver handles the data rate ceiling of most industrial RS-485 links — a 1 MHz clock on the bus means the receiver's propagation delay and skew stay well inside the bit-time budget, even with the 45 mV hysteresis adding a small timing offset at the zero-crossing. The 45 mV hysteresis filters out noise on long cable runs without external schmitt triggers, reducing BOM count on multi-drop networks where the bus sees reflections from unterminated stubs.
Supply rail and temperature grade
Operates from a single 4.75V to 5.25V supply — the 5V rail common in PLC and industrial I/O modules powers the receiver directly, with the 0.5V margin covering regulator tolerance and ripple.
Available in Tape & Reel (TR) or Cut Tape (CT) for prototyping; the reel quantity suits production runs where the pick-and-place feeds from a single carrier.
ROHS3 compliant, with no exemption claims needed for the lead-free finish on the SOIC leads.
