The MAX3093ECUE+ is a quad RS-422/RS-485 receiver from Analog Devices, packing four receivers into a 16-TSSOP package. The 10 Mbps data rate covers the common industrial bus speeds — Profibus at 12 Mbps is tight, but Modbus RTU at 115.2 kbps, DMX512 at 250 kbps, and most PLC backplane links at 1-5 Mbps run well within margin. The 45 mV receiver hysteresis filters out noise on long cable runs — a 100-metre RS-485 stub with a floating ground can see 20-30 mV of common-mode hash, and the hysteresis prevents the output from chattering between logic states.
