10 Mbps — what it buys on the bus
At 10 Mbps the MAX3088EESA+ supports high-speed data links like encoder feedback, drive parameter uploads, or multi-drop sensor networks. The half-duplex topology means the bus turns around between transmit and receive — the host firmware must manage the driver-enable timing. On shorter cable runs (under 100 m) the full 10 Mbps is usable; as cable length increases, the practical data rate drops, but the part's edge rate is clean enough that a properly terminated bus holds signal integrity.
Mounting and compliance
The 8-SOIC footprint (0.154" body width, 3.90 mm) is a standard industry pattern. ROHS3 compliance means the part meets the latest EU restriction directive.
