The Analog Devices MAX3082ECPA+ is a half-duplex transceiver for RS-422 and RS-485 networks, packaged in an 8-pin PDIP for through-hole assembly. It handles one driver and one receiver on a single differential bus, with the data rate capped at 115 kbps – suited for legacy fieldbus links, PLC-to-sensor interfaces, and building-management serial drops where the bus runs at moderate speed.
