The MAX3071EESA+: This is a single-channel transceiver supporting both RS-485 and RS-422 protocols, with one driver and one receiver on-chip for full-duplex communication. Rated at 250kbps data rate — a common speed for industrial fieldbus links, building automation, and instrumentation backplanes where the cable length is tens to hundreds of metres. The 100 mV receiver hysteresis provides noise rejection on the differential bus, helping to avoid false edges on long or electrically noisy cable runs.
