The MAX306CWI+T is a single 16:1 analog multiplexer from Analog Devices, built for routing precision analog signals in data acquisition systems. Its 100 Ohm max on-state resistance and 1.5 Ohm channel-to-channel matching keep signal attenuation uniform across all sixteen inputs, which matters when the downstream ADC expects a consistent source impedance. Switching is fast — 200 ns turn-on and 150 ns turn-off — so the mux can sequence through channels at rates that keep up with multiplexed ADC conversions without introducing settling-time errors. The -92 dB crosstalk at 100 kHz means a full-swing signal on one channel barely couples into an adjacent off-channel, preserving dynamic range in multi-channel acquisition.
Supply flexibility and signal integrity specs
The part runs on a single supply from 5V to 30V, or dual supplies from ±4.5V to ±20V. That dual-supply capability lets it pass bipolar signals without level-shifting, which simplifies the front-end design for audio or industrial sensor inputs that swing below ground. Charge injection is just 2 pC, so the glitch when switching channels is small enough that most applications won't need a sample-and-hold to absorb it.
