20 Mbps and a 4/0 driver count
Four drivers, zero receivers — this is a pure transmit-side part. The 20 Mbps data rate is enough for Profibus, Modbus RTU at high baud, or any RS422 point-to-multipoint link that needs to push data fast. If your design also needs a receiver on the same chip, you are looking at a transceiver, not this driver.
Package and mounting
16-TSSOP, 4.40 mm body width, surface mount. It is a small footprint, so it fits tight boards, but swapping it in the field without a hot-air station is a pain — the pins are fine-pitch. If you are planning field repairs, socket it or keep a pre-programmed board spare.
