The MAX3032EEUE+: ROHS3 compliant, so it passes the current EU RoHS directive without an exemption — no need for a separate waiver or alternative part for European-market builds.
RS422/RS485 driver — 20Mbps and 4/0 configuration
This is a pure driver (4/0 drivers/receivers) for RS422 or RS485 networks, handling differential signalling at up to 20Mbps. The 20Mbps data rate suits high-speed industrial fieldbus links, such as Profibus DP at 12Mbps or custom multi-drop backplanes running at 10-20Mbps. With four drivers and no receivers, it is designed for transmit-only or predominantly transmit nodes — a PLC output module broadcasting status data, for example, or a sensor aggregator pushing measurements onto a shared bus.
Supply rails and temperature grade
Operates from a single 3V to 3.6V rail — compatible with common 3.3V logic supplies. The 3.3V supply is standard for many MCUs and FPGAs, so the MAX3032EEUE+ can share the same rail without a separate regulator.
16-TSSOP package — board-fit considerations
Housed in a 16-lead TSSOP with 0.65mm pitch and a 4.4mm body width. The fine pitch demands a controlled-impedance PCB for the differential pairs if the trace length exceeds a few inches at 20Mbps — the rise time is short enough that stub reflections matter. Surface-mount only; the tube packaging is typical for prototype or low-volume assembly. For high-volume reflow, request tape-and-reel from the distributor at RFQ time.
