Two-channel galvanic isolator for mixed-protocol buses
It supports data rates up to 200 Mbps, making it suitable for isolating SPI, RS-485, RS-232, and CAN FD lines where signal integrity and safety isolation are required.
200 Mbps and 9.5 ns propagation delay — timing budget for fast buses
With a maximum propagation delay of 9.5 ns (tpLH) and 9.9 ns (tpHL), and a 2 ns pulse-width distortion ceiling, this isolator can handle 200 Mbps SPI clocks without eating into setup/hold margins. The 0.8 ns typical rise and 1 ns fall times keep edge rates clean for high-speed serial links. If your design runs a 50 MHz SPI bus or a 10 Mbps CAN FD node, the timing headroom is comfortable.
3000Vrms and 50 kV/µs CMTI — isolation for motor drives and inverters
The 3000Vrms isolation rating meets basic safety isolation requirements for industrial equipment. The 50 kV/µs common-mode transient immunity (typical) is the spec that matters when this isolator sits between a controller and a gate-driver in a motor-drive or inverter: fast-switching SiC or GaN stages generate high dV/dt on the isolated side, and the MAX22291CASA/V+ won't latch or corrupt data.
