Fixed 1.2 V rail, 300 mA, SOT-23-6
The MAX1982EUT+T is a single-output positive linear regulator delivering a fixed 1.2 V output at up to 300 mA continuous current. Housed in a SOT-23-6 (SOT-6) surface-mount package, the part occupies minimal board area. The 250 µA quiescent current is moderate for an always-on supply; the Enable pin allows the rail to be gated off in low-power sleep modes, and the Power Good output signals when the output is within regulation. Protection features include over-current, over-temperature, and under-voltage lockout (UVLO) — the regulator shuts down safely under fault conditions without external supervisory circuitry.
PSRR and noise-sensitive loads
Power supply rejection ratio is specified at 60 dB at 10 kHz — this attenuates switching noise from a preceding DC-DC converter by a factor of 1000 at that frequency. For a 1.2 V rail feeding an analog front-end or PLL, the 60 dB floor at 10 kHz is adequate to keep ripple below 1 mVpp when the input ripple is under 1 Vpp. The 1.2 V fixed output is not adjustable — confirm the BOM rail voltage before committing. Operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C, covering industrial ambient conditions. The SOT-23-6 package's thermal resistance (typically ~200 °C/W in still air) means at 300 mA with 0.35 V dropout the dissipation is about 105 mW, keeping the die well within the 85 °C ambient limit.
