Product details

Dual-output buck controller for multi-rail designs

The MAX1775EEE+T is a dual-output step-down (buck) switching controller from Analog Devices, designed for systems that need two independently regulated supply rails from a single input bus. It integrates a synchronous rectifier on both outputs, so the external BOM needs only the inductor, input/output caps, and feedback resistors — no external Schottky catch diodes.

Input range, switching frequency, and temperature grade

The controller operates from a 2.7V to 28V supply (Vcc/Vdd), covering common 3.3V, 5V, 12V, and 24V intermediate buses. Switching frequency goes up to 1.25 MHz, letting the designer use smaller inductors and ceramic output caps to shrink the PCB footprint.

16-QSOP package and mounting

The supplier device package is 16-QSOP. The narrow body width helps fit dense multi-rail boards, but the fine-pitch leads (0.025-inch nominal) call for a controlled solder-paste stencil and profile during reflow assembly.

Active production with ROHS3 compliance

It is ROHS3 compliant, so it meets the current EU restriction on hazardous substances without exemption.
