The MAX17633AATP+ is a step-down (buck) regulator from Analog Devices, part of the MAX17633 family. The switching frequency is programmable from 380 kHz to 2.45 MHz, letting the designer trade off efficiency against inductor size. Higher frequencies shrink the magnetics but increase switching losses; the wide range gives flexibility for space-constrained or thermally sensitive designs. Internal synchronous rectification eliminates the external Schottky diode, reducing BOM count and improving efficiency at moderate to heavy loads. The single positive output is adjustable via an external resistor divider.
Thermal and package fit for reflow
Housed in a 20-WFQFN with exposed pad (also specified as 20-TQFN, 4x4 mm), the package relies on the centre pad for both thermal dissipation and electrical ground. Packaged in a tube rather than tape-and-reel, this variant requires a tube feeder or manual placement on the pick-and-line. If your line is set up for embossed tape, confirm feeder compatibility or request the tape-and-reel order code from the same family.
ROHS3 compliant, meeting the EU RoHS exemption-free standard. No additional compliance documentation (REACH, UL, IEC) is listed on this part record.
