Wide-input buck for industrial and automotive rails
The Maxim Integrated MAX17545ATP+T is a Himalaya family step-down (buck) switching regulator that accepts a 4.5V to 42V input range and delivers up to 1.7A at an adjustable output from 0.9V to 37.8V. It integrates a synchronous rectifier, so no external Schottky diode is needed, and the switching frequency is programmable from 100kHz to 2.2MHz, letting you trade efficiency against inductor size. The device operates over a -40°C to 125°C junction temperature range, making it suitable for under-hood automotive, industrial 24V rails, and outdoor telecom equipment where the supply can swing from cold-crank to load-dump transients.
