Fixed 5V rail with micro-power standby
The MAX1726EUK50+T: This is a single-output positive LDO delivering a fixed 5V at up to 20 mA — sized for always-on bias rails, sensor supply, or RTC keep-alive in battery-powered gear. Quiescent current is just 4.5 µA typical — the regulator's own draw is negligible against a coin cell's self-discharge, so a device sleeping months between wake-ups loses almost nothing to the LDO.
Protection set and enable control
Built-in protection covers overcurrent, overtemperature, reverse polarity, and short circuit — the regulator survives a miswired battery or a sustained output short without damage. An Enable pin lets the system power down the output rail under firmware control, dropping the total draw to near-zero when the load is idle.
SOT-23-5 — small footprint, rework-friendly
Housed in a SOT-23-5 (SC-74A) package — 5 pins, 0.95 mm pitch, easy to hand-solder or rework with a standard hot-air station.
