Fixed 3.3V rail for low-power designs
The MAX1726EUK33+T is a fixed-output 3.3V linear regulator from Maxim Integrated, delivering up to 20mA with a quiescent current of 4.5 µA. It is designed for low-power, always-on applications where a stable 3.3V rail is needed for microcontrollers, sensors, or interface ICs. The SOT-23-5 package fits compact PCB layouts, and the -40°C to 85°C operating temperature range suits industrial and outdoor equipment.
Dropout and protection — what the ratings mean for your BOM
Maximum dropout voltage is 0.6V at 20mA load, so a 3.9V input rail holds 3.3V regulation through battery discharge or supply droop. The 4.5 µA quiescent current is the standby draw — critical for battery-powered designs where every microamp extends sleep life. Protection features cover over-current, over-temperature, reverse polarity, and short circuit, reducing external clamp circuitry. Enable pin allows the regulator to be gated by a GPIO for sequenced power-up or shutdown.
