Where it fits in the BOM
This controller is a fit for automotive power supplies that need a regulated boost or SEPIC rail from a battery bus. The 93% max duty cycle allows high step-up ratios, and the clock sync input lets multiple converters share a common switching frequency to manage EMI. The exposed-pad package needs a thermal via pattern under the pad; the datasheet layout recommendation should be followed to keep junction temperature within limits under full load. The part is active with no end-of-life notice, so it is safe to specify for new production BOMs.
