Product details

USB power switch in a 10-uMAX footprint

The MAX1693EUB+ is a single-channel, high-side P-channel USB power switch from Analog Devices.

Fault protection and the Status Flag

Built-in fault protection includes fixed current limiting and over-temperature shutdown. When the switch trips on a fault (overcurrent or overtemperature), the Status Flag output pulls low — the downstream host controller sees this as a logic-level interrupt and can sequence a retry or log the event. The On/Off interface is non-inverting: a logic high on the enable pin turns the switch on. No separate Vcc supply is required — the part is self-powered from the load rail, so the enable pin threshold tracks the input voltage.
